November Enews

Hey Hey Hey,
Welcome to November enews.

And speaking of news, what a news!
Our favourite project for the year, www.heroes.co.nz is L.I.V.E!
"Launch is a GO, captain"

Now you can find  info on our latest comics and other products, details of events and lots of cool stuff without even leaving your computer screen.
Sign on to the site so you can leave comments and questions on our blog.
OK, so the email forwarding isn't quite working properly, but you never get anything perfect first off, right?
Of course a website is no substitute for seeing you in person, "don't be strangers ya hear".

We have a great little in store activity on at the moment. Hiding around our stock are some stealthy ninjas.
If you can locate a ninja (not the window ones, people!) we'll give you a prize. It could be a discount, voucher, or free gift, depending on the ninja discovered.
Are you sneaky enough to hunt ninjas? It may help if you're a pirate, I guess, but don't forget, a true ninja knows the art of invisibility!
Oh, and only one ninja per purchase, the best ninjas work  ........... alone .............

New products in store and coming shortly

My personal favourite product for the rest of the year has just arrived. So cool I may need to re-order!
Bring along your carolling voices
and enjoy with us the latest and greatest Christmas songbook. 'It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Zombies'.
Sing to the tunes of classic favourites using brand new lyrics finely crafted for all you ZOMBIES out there. Don't miss "Deck the Halls With Parts of Wally", it's a doozy!

Blackest Night is a DC event still powering along. How exactly will those black-ringed baddies be defeated? WILL they be defeated?
We can only anxiously await.... And in the Marvel Universe, Norman Osbourne is setting up to take his coup to a whole new level,
as he and his Dark Avengers prepare to take on Asgard itself! (I mean come on, is he crazy? I think so!)

And another couple that have so far snuck in under the radar. FVZA (short for federal vampire and zombie agency) is a three part that looks most promising.
And Sky Pirates of Neo Terra, a five part series based on an upcoming Nintendo game.
This comic has a great story and is totally saturated with the incredible artwork of Camilla D'Errico.
See more of her art here at Gelaskins (   killing two birds with one stone as now I can suggest you navigate away from her page to investigate gelaskins in a bit more depth.---
We are importing some of the Dark Horse Gelaskins... If you have a 15in laptop and would like to adorn it with their pictures from Buffy,
Hellboy, or Umbrella Academy, let us know asap! I'm also willing to arrange for orders of any other gelaskin styles or sizes, and the more people with an order,
the cheaper the resulting items will be :)   )

Skaven are swarming all over the world of Warhammer. This is a great opportunity, either to take advantage of their cool new characters,
or to stock up on your own armies to take them down.
"That screaming bell? Awesome!"
And just in time for Christmas we'll have limited numbers of the 40k Space Marines and Ork Megaforces, and the Warhammer Empire and Ork/Goblin Brigades.
These may be big biccy items, but FANTASTIC for Christmas (or just after) because you take home almost a whole army in one hit.

For Board Games we're sticking with the GW, as we have Chaos In The Old World new-on-the-shelf. A really nice looking game full of Warhammer demons.
There's the new expansion for Battlestar Galactica (Pegasus) too, and coming soon a couple of new expansions for Small World.

Looking for a present for a Twilight fan? How many people do you know who are racing off to see New Moon this week? Well, let them know this news a.s.a.p!
Also new in store, we have New Moon action figures to suit both team Edward and team Jacob, and some fantastic New Moon badges have joined our badge collection.
Still waiting on the Jacob ones, sorry ladies.
Series 5 of the Halo figures has joined them on the shelves, so if Twilight isn't quite your thing,  how about a few finely trained killing-machines?
There's only one 12in MasterChief though, be warned!
I know some of you are still waiting on our McFarlane sports figures. We put in an order for NFL series 21 as soon as we got sorted with a new distributor,
but unfortunately, contrary to their initial hopes, series 21 was already sold out. We've got a definite on series 22 however, and should be set from there on in. Finally!!

The Christmas Parade is coming up very soon.
Calendared as 5th December, we are excited to announce that for the first year, Heroes will be participating.
Come to the parade, meet with one of our parade characters, and find out how to be in to win, BIG time.
We'll also have freebies for all the kiddlings out there, so give us a shout as we go by :)
Watch out for the Palmerston North All Star Cheer Team in the parade while you're there. These Cheer Heroes pulled out some impressive placings in this year's
Allstar Cheerleading International Competition, and have Heroes For Sale to thank for finishing off their uniforms with a bit of super sparkle.

Also on December 5th, take advantage of the Christmas furore in town and sneak away to Heroes for the year's biggest monster massacre.
Check out our Monsterpocalypse demo game, as Michael and Toshi attempt to crush each others' forces while leaving no part of the city intact!
Find out how you too can control city-stomping creature armies of epic proportions. Forget about telling your giant gorilla to grab the girl,
why not tell him to squish your opponent into the concrete instead!

Other news of a big nature, from December 1st we will be closing for Sunday trade.
This was a change scheduled for the beginning of 2010, but with Darren leaving us we've brought the date forward.
I'm hopeful that for all of you used to visiting on Sunday there will be an alternate day of the week available.
Our apologies for any inconvenience we cause through this change
, but we're excited about the other possibilities this will open up in future. (shhhhh. can't say more....)

Well, signing off now.
We may fit in a Christmas enews, but keep an eye on the glorious new website for events etc over the festive season in case we can't quite get organised enough.

Falalalala lala la la.     braaaaaaaaaainsssssssss.
